First, go to a starting location on your horse and then open your map. I chose the Western Guard Camp. I clicked on the icon for the Stable Keeper at this location. Then I chose my next destination, the weirdo Stable Keeper in Glish by holding down the "Alt" key. If you do this correctly you will suddenly see 2 light pillars on the map. From there, I then chose my next destination, the northern Stable Keeper in Heidel, again holding the "Alt" key down. Next destination was the Velia Stable Keeper and to complete the loop I clicked on the Stable Keeper in the Western Guard Camp. The picture below show what the loop looks like once it is complete. Make note that instead of the normal blue line for the Auto Path it turns to green to indicate the Auto Loop.
With all this looping you might wonder how to keep up the stamina for your horse. Luckily the developers added an easy "Automatically use carrots when stamina is low" check box once you begin Auto Looping. Take note that the carrot is fed to the horse when stamina gets below 900. I am only using the basic carrots and still have enough stamina before the next use of the carrot so it seems to be okay to use the regular carrots if you do not have any special ones. Not sure if there is a selection criteria if you have both in your inventory but simple experimentation should tell you that answer. Below is a snippet of where you'll see it on your UI. You may need to edit the UI in order to see this if you've customized the UI in the past.
I hope this helps you out and enjoy the now easy leveling of your horses!
thank you for your interesting infomation. Castlebrook Barns
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome... the post is a bit outdated now. We will try to update it with new information at a future date :)
ReplyDeleteDoes the auto-feed consume special carrots if there are no regular carrots in the inventory? I have more specials than regulars and I'd like to use those while AFK if the regs run out.
ReplyDeleteYou dont need to make a actual loop to train your horse you can simple make a straight line A - B and back again B - A repeating it endlessly. Making a giant loop is not only a waste but its a bad idea as more things can go wrong especially if you get stuck in something like altar imps cave
